Croud bolsters UK executive leadership team

We’re pleased to share our refreshed senior leadership structure, with Jon King stepping into the role of UK Chief Executive, and Sophie Wooller promoted to UK Chief Operating Officer.

Ben Tyson and Charlotte Hamill, Chief Executive and Chief Operating Officer respectively of Born Social, which was acquired in November 2022, join Jon and Sophie on our executive leadership team. Their roles and responsibilities at Born Social remain unchanged.

Jon, who was previously Group Chief Operating Officer at Croud and played a key role in integrating our acquisitions including Born Social and VERB Brands into the business, will lead Croud's UK business, supported by Wooller, formerly our Director of Digital Transformation.

Luke Smith, our co-founder, moves into a Global CEO role, overseeing all business units, with a particular focus on the US market, M&A, and integration of new acquisitions. 

Luke said, “As we continue to grow the business at pace, I’m delighted to have Jon and Sophie leading Croud in the UK; they both have a wealth of industry experience -  inside and outside Croud. I’m also pleased to be moving to a more integrated future with Born Social’s Ben and Char joining our Executive Team, bringing fresh thinking and skill sets; they represent the future leadership of our business.”

We enjoyed another year of impressive growth in 2023, thanks to both our acquisitions and strong organic growth. This was bolstered by the appointment of Avinash Kaushik to Chief Strategy Officer, and the expansion of Croud’s strategic consulting and analytics offerings. We were named Performance Marketing World’s International Agency of the Year and an Adweek Fastest Growing Agency last year, as well as being included on the prestigious Sunday Times Best Places to Work list.

I’m both honoured and excited to be leading the UK business and feel that we’re uniquely positioned to solve problems for clients - whether they’re worried about incrementality, brand and performance effectiveness, or bringing media and creative together. We’ve got a great team and we’re looking forward to seeing what 2024 brings.
