Controversy over Google Featured Snippets stealing publisher traffic reignites

Google recently tested a featured snippet that has caused some controversy; the snippet featured a card of snippets answering a complex query but did not include visible links to the source of the information – essentially Google created it’s own webpage using publisher content but not immediately crediting the them as the source.

Google has revamped its Test My Site mobile site tool to now include both the speed of the entire site and individual pages and how site speed has changed month on month, scores for site or page speed are benchmarked against competitor sites, impact on revenue and detailed list of fixes to increase speed on the top 5 pages on site, and a complete report to download and share.
