Five ways to make your Croud Control profile more visible

In this article we share our top five tips for optimising your Croudie profile, to ensure you stand out and get noticed for more work on Croud Control.

1. Showcase your skills and experience

Sharing your skills and experience is important to us and it’s therefore important you keep them up-to-date on your profile. Providing us with visibility over your skills will ensure we’re aware of your strengths and weaknesses and can recommend you to the right teams for the right projects and ongoing tasks.

By adding a professional summary of your skills and experience to your profile, our teams will have a better understanding of you, meaning you’ll have a higher chance of getting more work 🎉

2. Get badged up

To be able to complete the onboarding process, all new Croudies must pass a channel-specific practical test on Croud Campus. Croudies also have the option to complete any of the other courses available on the platform if they choose to, for free.

When you first log in to Croud Control you’re automatically directed to Croud Campus, where you can access the courses and assessments for the digital channels you have experience in.

There’s no deadline or time limit and they can be completed in your own time, however the more assessments you complete, the more work you’re eligible to receive.

We want the best and most reliable Croudies to work on our client campaigns, therefore we set an 85% pass rate for all assessments in order to ensure the highest quality of work is produced.

For every assessment you complete and pass, you’ll gain a qualification on your profile to say you can complete that type of task for a certain channel. It’s simple – more badges also mean a higher chance to be selected for work.

3. Housekeeping on your profile

Doing some general housekeeping on your profile such as adding a LinkedIn profile link, additional skills or marketing verticals, could make a huge difference as this is where our teams search for your specific skills and experience.

It’s easy to update your details, on the left-hand side just click on the My Profile option and update any existing information or add any new details.

The nature of freelancing means you work wherever and whenever you want, therefore it’s essential to keep your timezone up to date so our teams know when you might be able to receive work.

It’s also important to keep your billing address up to date, as this will show on your invoice. If any of your bank details change, please contact us at [email protected].

4. Add your languages

We are constantly updating Croud Control to ensure our in-house team can find the right Croudie for their specific task. To ensure you come up in the relevant search, it’s very important to specify your native and fluent languages on your profile.

Native language is the first language or dialect that a person has been exposed to from birth or within the critical period.

Fluent languages are all the additional languages you can speak easily and well.

As this may affect your eligibility to receive work, please ensure you add the relevant languages to the right place.

If you are missing this information, please go to your profile and set a language.

Share your portfolio

Let us know about your skills, experience and previous clients or projects you have worked on by sharing your portfolio on your profile.

Your portfolio can be a shared Google Drive document or a link to your own website – the more the merrier!

Learning more about your previous work can help us to understand your skills to see if any of our ongoing projects would be a good fit for you.

There you have it, our top five tips for making your Croudie profile more visible and increasing your chance of receiving jobs. If you have any questions, please let us know via email at [email protected].
