Croud are delighted to share that we have been named the winner for the Most Effective Use of Data for Creativity, in The Drum Digital Advertising Awards 2020.
The Drum Digital Advertising Awards (formerly known as The Drum Digital Trading Awards), celebrate those in the industry who have been raising the bar on great work in digital advertising.
We are therefore very proud to share that Croud was named the winner in the Most Effective Use of Data for Creativity category, as well as being Highly Commended in the Financial and Professional Services category for our work with Skrill (part of the Paysafe Group).
Most Effective Use of Data for Creativity
Croud were named the winners in this category thanks to project “Da Vinci” – a machine learning-powered technology for intelligent creative direction.
The technology, which directs the design of creative assets for programmatic display advertising, delivered huge increases in click-through rate for our client Paysafe – at over 2.3x for the skyscraper format. You can find out more about the creative intelligence tool here.
Highly commended
For another piece of work with Skrill, Driving Global Growth, Croud was Highly Commended in the Financial and Professional Services category.
In this campaign, Croud’s programmatic team formulated a holistic campaign strategy that spanned audience creation and media laydown, through to messaging refinement and creative development. Through smart use of audience insights, garnered via our Croudie network, and eye-catching creative, we were able to drive Skrill customers to transact via the app – all of which was tracked through bespoke in-app event tracking.

Despite the lockdown, it has been a very exciting few months for Croud, including the recent appointment of Jerry Buhlmann, former CEO of Dentsu Aegis Network, as non-executive chairman, along with Croud picking up the award for Marketing in Management Today’s NextGen awards last month.
