Croud shortlisted in The Drum Digital Advertising Awards 2020

We are delighted to share that Croud has been shortlisted in four categories for The Drum Digital Advertising Awards 2020!

The Drum Digital Advertising Awards showcase the most innovative and forward-thinking creative digital teams across the UK. They aim to highlight those that are pushing the bar on great work in digital advertising. Croud has been shortlisted for Most Effective Use of Data for Creativity, Finance and Professional Services, Music and Entertainment and Most Effective Programmatic Media Partnership.

Most Effective Use of Data for Creativity

Croud has been shortlisted in this category for its ‘Da Vinci’ project alongside our client, Paysafe. The project utilised machine learning for visual recognition and statistical modelling, in order to determine the contribution to ad performance made by each individual detailed visual trait across all of Paysafe’s ad variants. The machine-directed creative delivered impressive increases in click-through-rate; with the skyscraper banner format over 2.3x more effective.

Financial and Professional Services

Croud’s shortlist for the Finance and Professional Services category was also for a campaign alongside Paysafe, focused on one of their brands, Skrill. Croud’s holistic campaign strategy drove an increase in the number of existing customers who became regular users of the Skrill app – on a global scale.

Music and Entertainment

In an incredibly crowded and competitive landscape, Croud was tasked with delivering an integrated launch campaign for Frontier’s latest video game, Planet Zoo, with a reduced paid media budget compared with previous games. Using precision targeting and sequential messaging Croud’s campaign was a resounding success, with the game achieving a day-one PC launch record for Frontier.

Most Effective Programmatic Media Partnership

This category showcases Croud’s three-year-long partnership with Captify. By leveraging Capitfy’s search intelligence around real-time consumer intent on a global scale, Croud’s programmatic team have been able to successfully meet and exceed campaign targets whilst gaining insights to further improve future campaigns.
