We're delighted to announce the promotion of Kris Tait, Managing Director, U.S., to Chief Business Officer.

Since establishing the first Croud office in New York in 2015 in conjunction with Global CEO and founder Luke Smith, Tait has played a pivotal role driving the agency’s rapid growth stateside, a venture he’ll continue from inside the C-suite.

“From the moment we brought Kris into Croud, he has been instrumental in scaling our revenue, securing major client partnerships and building a world-class team" said Smith. “A natural leader, he’s not only shaped our US growth but our global strategy, as well. And now, as our Chief Business Officer, we’re eager to further empower Kris to do what he does best—weaving strategic thinking together with passion to identify new and expanded opportunities.”

Since the opening of the US office a decade ago, Tait has helped grow revenue from the ground up, helping Croud achieve a 47% compound annual growth rate over the last five years. Under his leadership, the team has grown from an office of one to more than 150 people, in addition to securing key client wins including Nespresso, Chime, General Electric Appliances, and NewYork-Presbyterian.

“It's an exciting step for me to take on the Chief Business Officer remit, I have believed in this business as a top destination for clients and people for 13 years, and I'm excited to continue that,” said Kris Tait. “I’ve had a front row seat not only to our agency’s expansion but also to many of the team's career development in addition to our clients’ business growth; that gives me huge satisfaction. Moving forward, as we continue to strengthen our footprint stateside, my focus will be on expanding our successes, identifying new revenue streams and building new partnerships in alignment with the agency’s long-term plans.”

The announcement follows a period of strong growth for Croud, including key client wins, a partnership with L Catterton as their official agency partner, acquisitions of Born Social and Vert Digital, and the sale of a majority stake to ECI Partners.
