Digital Analytics Manager

The role

Croud has in the last year transformed its digital analytics team: from providing a supporting capability, into offering a suite of client-facing services. Analytics has become an independent revenue stream for the agency, and we are ambitious for the team’s continuing growth.

We’re recruiting for a new role in the analytics team: one that will serve as a key member of the delivery team, supporting to ensure Croud continues to sell, up sell and deliver first-rate analytics services to its clients.

We’re expecting the successful candidate to have at least two years’ experience in digital marketing and to be passionate about helping clients to unlock the greatest possible value from data and analytics opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

In their new role, the successful candidate will

  • Attend measurement strategy workshops, and analyse their results
  • Deliver and document creative digital analytics solution design
  • Deliver expert analysis, arriving at insight and valuable recommendations for our clients
  • Challenge the analysis of other team members
  • Prepare and deliver clear and compelling presentations of the team’s work
  • Support teams drawn from across Croud to prepare and deliver proposals and pitches, in response to new business opportunities
  • Identify and act on opportunities from among Croud’s existing clients to propose new analytics services and unlock new value
  • Run an ongoing strategic programme of small, speculative audits and/or insight projects which work to demonstrate the value of Croud’s analytics services to existing clients and win new ongoing paid work for the team
  • Promote personal development in the team: your own, and also that of the more junior members
  • Bring new ideas and skills to Croud, drawn from your career experience but also your interest in industry developments
  • Drive innovation and improvements in the use of data & reporting across the full range of Croud’s digital agency services
  • Inspire your colleagues at Croud, in their knowledge and practice of digital analytics, and in their ability to promote Croud’s analytics services

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will have

  • A minimum of two years’ experience in digital marketing
  • Knowledge of digital marketing including all of the services that Croud offers
  • Comprehensive technical knowledge of the entire Google Analytics and Google Tag Manger products
  • Preferably, comprehensive technical knowledge of Adobe Analytics and IBM Digital Analytics
  • Knowledge of the tools that complement a core digital analytics implementation, e.g. on-site conversion rate optimisation, customer experience, voice-of-customer, analysis and data visualisation technologies
  • The clear understanding of HTML and JavaScript (and preferably CSS and jQuery) essential to designing and delivering web tracking code implementations
  • Preferably, experience in specifying and testing tracking implementations for Android and iOS mobile apps
  • Preferably, knowledge and experience with languages like PHP, Ruby and Python, and R, especially where in the collection or processing of data
  • Preferably, an understanding of advanced statistics or data science and its application in digital marketing
  • An ability to communicate persuasively, with focus and clarity, in both writing and speech
  • The numeracy, and grasp of logic, essential to data analysis
  • The creativity necessary for designing innovative solutions, challenging assumptions, and imagining unusual hypotheses
  • A clear vision of what makes digital analytics most valuable, and a passion for delivering it
  • An ability to act independently and proactively, with entrepreneurial spirit
  • Developed, dependable skills in organising projects and workload, and excellent time management skills
  • Commitment to delivering great work, on time, for your colleagues and clients

Standard hours are from 9.00am to 5.30pm, there’s flexibility if agreed in advance with your line managers (it may also be necessary on occasions to work outside of these hours).
