Also, by creating our talent hunting LinkedIn profile it allows us to instantly connect with hundreds of well-known digital marketing experts that we are/ have been working with. Then, by joining various groups associated with digital marketing within the UK and across the rest of the world this increases our pool of connections exponentially. It is like playing a computer game, find the secret “packages” and unlock the special missions. The more digital marketing groups we join, the more profiles of SEM experts we can find and approach. It is then our mission to locate and capture the top SEM freelancers.

The next task is to entice people to sign up to the network and to be honest it has not proved too tricky. The reputation of Croud coupled with an excellent client portfolio, an amazing technology platform and of course the chance to work whenever and wherever (plus my charm of course) results in people asking how to sign up quite quickly.

Any potential Croudie has to have a minimum of 12 months experience working in Digital Marketing and they have to complete and pass the Croud on-boarding assessment.  This is the same assessment that any new office based recruit has to complete after their induction training has been completed.  It consists of 5 sections that tests the candidates’ mettle with regards to Optimisation tactics, Google knowledge, Maths, Editorial policy and Account Management skills.  A pass rate of 85% has to be achieved to be granted a place on the Croudie Network, as we want only the best to represent Croud.  A place on the network is not guaranteed for everyone but anyone who has just missed out on a place is encouraged to try again in a few months’ time.

The next step is for the new Croudie to accept an NDA and then they are live and ready to receive lots of lovely work via our in-house system Croud Control.

Sounds simple right?  Well if you can find a PPC expert in Namibia with 12 months experience you have found the needle in the haystack!!!
