Croud On Board StartUp Britain’s Summer Bus Tour 2011

Croud are excited to announce that we will be taking part in the StartUp Britain Summer Bus Tour 2011 next week.

StartUp Britain have kindly invited us to join them on their tour of the UK, offering our expert digital marketing advice to support local enterprise.

StartUp Britain is a national campaign designed to inspire, accelerate and celebrate enterprise in the UK. It was set up by entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs, harnessing the expertise and passion of Britain’s leading businesspeople.

The aim of the StartUp Britain Summer Bus Tour is to reach out and support enterprise at a local level, by reaching out to the entire UK.

If you are looking to start your own business, grow your existing enterprise, or just get some great advice and tips about running a business in the UK then the StartUp Bus Tour is for you.

Croud were invited to join the StartUp event, as we want to help small to medium-sized enterprises get online, and start using digital marketing.

Luke Smith, Commercial Director of Croud will be on board the StartUp Bus on Monday 22nd August 2011, in Bristol and Cardiff town centres, answering questions and offering advice. Luke is on a mission to get small businesses online and using digital channels effectively, so feel free to come along and have a chat.

Prior to launching Croud, Luke spent 3 ½ years at Google managing the company’s relationships with media and digital agencies, handling a combined £60m of business per annum for the business, helping drive up revenues during that time by over 100%. His remit included WPP, Aegis and Publicis. He was also responsible for bringing Google’s early mobile strategy to life.

Alison Battisby, Head of Social Media at Croud will be offering social networking advice on board the Bus on Tuesday 23rd August 2011 in Birmingham town centre. Alison runs Croud’s social team, with a passion for helping SMEs explore and better understand how social channels can enhance their business.

Prior to joining Croud she worked for international advertising, marketing and consulting agency Wunderman in London, for global clients such as Nokia and Pringles. Croud’s social media consultancy can include anything from an audit of your current social media activities, on-going presence management, campaign and competition management, and reports and analysis. Please do feel free to come and ask us any social media questions.

If you have any questions about digital marketing, whether you have never tried it before, or are doing it well just want some inspiration – then please do come and find Luke and Alison on the StartUp Britain Bus Tour. You need to register your interest here to attend the bus.
